Gabriel Dawe, a Mexican-Canadian artist, creates colorful, woolen installations and objects. I like the installation “plexus” (Pic 1+2) most because it looks like ray of lights (found at Fleisherart).
Kazuma Obara (28) is a Japanese photographer documenting the working conditions in the damaged atomic power plant in Fukushima. He was born in Iwate, one of the regions hit hard by the earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. At that time Kazuma studied photography and worked at Mitsubishi. 3 days after the disaster he left his job and became a full-time photographer. With his pictures Kazuma criticizes the Japanes media coverage of the disaster. His pictures were published worldwide - except for Japan.

What’s the job of a conductor? Michael Wende (born 1982) tries to find an answer to this question with his final project movie “Der Taktstock” (“The baton”) at the University of Applied Sciences Deggendorf, Germany. The story: An animated figure of a Baton-Designer is following 12 young conductors from all over the world, gathered 10 days in Bamberg to win the world’s most honored conducting battle: The Gustav-Mahler-Conducting-Competition.
